The Fable Stays are made of an outer layer of an upcycled fabric, inner layer of cotton twill, and lining layer of cotton coutil. Woven floral trim runs down the front side seams. Adjustable straps, front lacing, heavily boned. These untabbed stays offer full bust support and are based on 18th century stay styles, minus the tabs!
There is one ready to ship piece available in size 40, and one piece available as made to order in your size up to size 35 (bust measurement up to 38″). For the made to order piece, I will contact you after you place your order to determine your measurements and sizing, and please allow up to three weeks for these stays to ship.
All Lineage Garments incorporate hand sewing and therefore have small variants unique to each piece.

Sizing: Sizes are determined by natural bust measurement. We recommend taking your natural bust measurement, then choosing a size 2-4″ smaller. For reference, model is wearing size 40 and has measurements of bust 42", waist 35". If your measurements are on the high end of the ranges given below, you may have a lacing gap.
Size 40 fully closed measures: Bust 40", Waist 33", side rise 8.25". Recommended for natural body measurements of: Bust 42-43", waist 35-36".
Fabric content: Outer layer upcycled synthetic fabric. Inner layer cotton twill, lining layer cotton coutil. Metal grommets, synthetic boning, satin ribbon lacing, woven tapestry floral trim, cotton binding.
Care instructions: Do not iron!! The outer fabric will melt unless ironed on a very low setting with another fabric between the iron and the stays. Spot clean by hand. Machine wash not recommended. We recommend wearing a washable layer underneath your stays, as was done historically. This helps extend the life of your stays and keeps them cleaner.
