The Iris Stays are made of an outer layer of upcycled floral cotton fabric, inner layer of cotton twill, and lining layer of cotton coutil. A beautiful piece of antique lace sweeps across the front. These heavily boned, untabbed stays offer full bust support and are based on 18th century stay styles, minus the tabs! Back lacing, strapless. Please be aware the antique lace is in good condition and fairly sturdy, but given its age it should be treated with care.
The size 40 (pictured) is ready to ship. There is also one made to order in your size piece available. Please allow up to three weeks for the made to order piece to ship. For made to order items – I will contact you after you place your order to determine your measurements and sizing.
All Lineage Garments incorporate hand sewing and therefore have small variants unique to each piece.

Sizing: Sizes are determined by natural bust measurement. We recommend taking your natural bust measurement, then choosing a size 2-4" smaller. If you wear a D cup or larger, sizing down 3-5" is recommended. If your measurements are on the larger end of the ranges given below, expect a lacing gap. Model's measurements are bust 44", waist 38". for reference.
Size 40 when fully closed measures 40" bust and 33" waist. Recommended for natural body measurements of: bust 43-47", waist 35-39".
Fabric content: Outer layer 100% cotton upcycled fabric. Inner layer 100% cotton twill. Lining layer 100% cotton coutil. Metal grommets, synthetic boning, satin ribbon lacing.
Washing instructions: Spot clean by hand. Machine wash not recommended. We recommend wearing a washable layer underneath your stays, as was done historically. This helps extend the life of your stays and keeps them cleaner.
