Inspired by a style of folk costume from Berne, Switzerland, the shape of these stays is appealingly dramatic. The upward slope of the bust line invokes Tudor images, making it a perfect piece for all your renaissance faire needs.
The Macaron Stays are made of an outer layer of upcycled floral fabric in pale yellow, and an inner layer of cotton coutil. Stapless, back lacing, fully boned front panel, partially boned back and sides. These untabbed stays offer full bust support and are based on 18th century stay styles, minus the tabs!
There is one ready to ship piece available in size 37, and one piece available as made to order in your size. For the made to order piece, I will contact you after you place your order to determine your measurements and sizing, and please allow up to three weeks for these stays to ship.
A note on the color: The color of the stays is a pale yellow, closest to the photos of the stays being worn. They are not quite as desaturated as the flat lay photos, and not quite as bright as the photos on the fence.
All Lineage Garments incorporate hand sewing and therefore have small variants unique to each piece.

Sizing: Sizes are determined by natural bust measurement. We recommend taking your natural bust measurement, then choosing a size 2-4″ smaller. If you wear a D cup or larger, sizing down 3-5″ is recommended. For reference, model is wearing size 37 and has measurements of bust 42", waist 35". If your measurements are on the higher end of the range given below, expect a lacing gap.
Size 37 fully closed measures: Bust 37", Waist 30", side rise 8". Recommended for natural body measurements of: Bust 39-42", waist 32-35".
Fabric content: Outer layer upcycled fabric, unknown fiber content. Inner layer cotton coutil. Metal grommets, synthetic boning, grosgrain ribbon lacing.
Washing instructions: Spot clean by hand. Machine wash not recommended. We recommend wearing a washable layer underneath your stays, as was done historically. This helps extend the life of your stays and keeps them cleaner.
