Nimue is known as a priestess, a faerie, a goddess, Lady of the Lake, Merlin’s lover, and much more – clearly a powerful and revered creature. This deep color of purple has long been associated with the mysterious realm of deep magick.
The Nimue Stays are made of an outer layer of a vintage polyester satin, inner layer of cotton twill, and strength layer of cotton coutil. Strapless, back lacing, heavily boned. Vintage beaded appliqués wrap around the sides from the front, with glass beads in the center. These untabbed stays offer full bust support and are based on 18th century stay styles, minus the tabs!
PLEASE NOTE: If you purchase this piece and you would also like the matching escoffion but it is sold out, please either leave a note at checkout or message me (contact form is on the “about” page) and I can make you one! The veil fabric will be a slightly different shade than the original, but still matches perfectly.
For any custom size orders, I will email you after your order is placed with instructions for taking your measurements. Made to order pieces will ship within eight weeks of when I receive your measurements.
All Lineage Garments incorporate hand sewing and therefore have small variants unique to each piece.

Sizing: Sizes are determined by natural bust measurement. We recommend taking your natural bust measurement, then choosing a size 2-4″ smaller. If your measurements are on the high end of the ranges given below, you may have a lacing gap.
Size 32 fully closed measures: Bust 32", Waist 26", side rise 8". Recommended for natural body measurements of: Bust 34-37", waist 28-31".
Fabric content: Outer layer upcycled polyester satin with fusible cotton interfacing. Inner layer cotton twill, lining layer cotton coutil. Vintage beaded appliqués. Metal grommets, synthetic boning, satin ribbon lacing.
Washing instructions: Spot clean by hand using cold water and soap. I recommend wearing a washable layer underneath your stays, as was done historically. This helps extend the life of your stays and keeps them cleaner.
