These patchwork stays are made up of fabrics I’ve collected from estate sales, thrift stores, and antique fairs, pulling together colors and patterns to create something new and beautiful. With a vintage autumnal vibe, these stays are perfect for romping through a pile of leaves or finding that perfect pumpkin to carve!
The Winnow Stays are made of an outer layer of an upcycled patchwork of fabrics, inner and lining layers of cotton twill. Orange velvet ribbon runs down the front side seams and around the printed pattern on the back. Racerback, front lacing, heavily boned. These untabbed stays offer full bust support and are based on 18th century stay styles, minus the tabs!
There is one ready to ship piece available in size 38, and one piece available as made to order in your size. For the made to order piece, I will contact you after you place your order to determine your measurements and sizing, and please allow up to three weeks for these stays to ship. Please note that the patchwork pattern placement may be slightly different on the custom size piece.
All Lineage Garments incorporate hand sewing and therefore have small variants unique to each piece.
Please read detailed sizing information below before purchasing.
Sizing: Sizes are determined by natural bust measurement. We recommend taking your natural bust measurement, then choosing a size 2-4″ smaller. For reference, model is wearing size 38 and has measurements of bust 42", waist 35". If your measurements are on the high end of the ranges given below, you may have a lacing gap.
Size 38 fully closed measures: Bust 38", Waist 31", side rise 8.5". Recommended for natural body measurements of: Bust 40-42", waist 33-35".
Fabric content: Outer layer upcycled cotton fabrics with a fusible interfacing for strength. Inner layer cotton twill, lining layer cotton twill. Metal grommets, synthetic boning, satin ribbon lacing, velvet ribbon decoration.
Washing instructions: Spot clean by hand. Machine wash not recommended. We recommend wearing a washable layer underneath your stays, as was done historically. This helps extend the life of your stays and keeps them cleaner.
