The Maeve Stays are are made of an outer layer of velvet fabric, and inner layers of cotton twill. Rose decorated trim runs down the front sides. These heavily boned, smooth covered, untabbed stays offer full bust support and are based on 18th century stay styles, minus the tabs!
The two stays available are made with different types of velvet fabric – the size 27 is a vintage off cut and the size 36 is a modern velvet. They are very similar in color but slightly different in texture. Please see photos for details.
All Lineage Garments incorporate hand sewing and therefore have small variants unique to each piece.

Sizing: Sizes are by bust measurement. We recommend sizing down if you are between sizes or to leave a lacing gap. Model is wearing the size 36 and has measurements of bust 42", waist 35" for reference.
Size 36 fully closed measures: bust 36", waist 31". Recommended for natural body measurements of: bust 38-40", waist 32-34".
Size 27 fully closed measures: bust 27", waist 22". Recommended for natural body measurements of: bust 27-30", waist 22-25". Measurements on the larger end of the ranges given will have a lacing gap.
Fabric content: Outer layer velvet. Inner and lining layers 100% cotton twill. Metal grommets, synthetic boning, velvet binding, grosgrain ribbon lacing, satin ribbon ties.
Washing instructions: Spot clean by hand. Machine wash not recommended.
