The Oak Leaf Stays are are made of an outer layer of upcycled wool, inner layers of cotton coutil, and lining layer of linen. Embroidered trim runs down the front side seams. These heavily boned, smooth covered, untabbed stays offer full bust support and are based on 18th century stay styles, minus the tabs!
The size 36 has a racerback design, while the size 40 has double lacing – both front and back.
Please note there are some imperfections in the wool fabric, see last two photos for details. These flaws are cosmetic only and do not affect the structure of the garments.
All Lineage Garments incorporate hand sewing and therefore have small variants unique to each piece.

Sizing: Sizes are by bust measurement. We recommend sizing down if you are between sizes or to leave a lacing gap. Model is wearing the size 36 and the size 40 and has measurements of bust 42", waist 35" for reference. If your measurements are on the higher end of the ranges given below, expect a lacing gap.
Size 36 fully closed measures: bust 36", waist 29". Recommended for natural body measurements of: bust 38-40", waist 31-33".
Size 40 fully closed measures: bust 40", waist 33". Recommended for natural body measurements of: bust 42-46", waist 35-39".
Fabric content: Size 36: Outer layer upcycled wool. Inner layer cotton coutil, lining layer linen. Size 40: Outer layer upcycled wool, inner layer cotton twill, lining layer cotton coutil. Metal grommets, synthetic boning, hand made and sewn binding, satin ribbon lacing, satin ribbon shoulder ties.
Washing instructions: Spot clean by hand. Machine wash not recommended. We recommend wearing a washable layer underneath your stays, as was done historically. This helps extend the life of your stays and keeps them cleaner.
