The Romance Stays are are made of an outer layer of upcycled floral cotton fabric, and inner layers of cotton canvas and cotton twill. Hand-sewn binding on bottom edge. These heavily boned, untabbed stays offer full bust support and are based on 18th century stay styles, minus the tabs! Back lacing, adjustable straps.
The size 36 (pictured) is ready to ship. There is also one made to order in your size piece available. Please allow up to three weeks for the made to order piece to ship. For made to order items – I will contact you after you place your order to determine your measurements and sizing.
All Lineage Garments incorporate hand sewing and therefore have small variants unique to each piece.

Sizing: Sizes are determined by natural bust measurement. We recommend taking your natural bust measurement, then choosing a size 2-4" smaller. If you wear a D cup or larger, sizing down 3-4" is recommended. If your measurements are on the larger end of the ranges given below, expect a lacing gap. Model's measurements are bust 42", waist 35" for reference.
Size 36 when fully closed measures 36" bust and 30" waist. Recommended for natural body measurements of: bust 38-42", waist 32-35".
Fabric content: Outer layer 100% cotton upcycled fabric. Inner layer 100% cotton canvas. Lining layer 100% cotton twill. Metal grommets, synthetic boning, satin ribbon lacing.
Washing instructions: Spot clean by hand. Machine wash not recommended. We recommend wearing a washable layer underneath your stays, as was done historically. This helps extend the life of your stays and keeps them cleaner.
